Breast reduction

Reduction mammoplasty, the medical term for breast reduction, means reducing the size of the gland, the skin covering the breast and moving the areola-nipple complex to the anatomical position. This operation is very complex and requires knowledge of several techniques for solving the problem of enlarged breasts.

The operation usually lasts 3 to 4 hours and is performed under general anesthesia. After this operation, scars remain around the areola, and a scar in the shape of an inverted letter “T” remains on the breast itself.
